Full Closet, Yet Nothing To Wear, Dilemma!
Raise your hand if you have a closet full of clothes but can never find anything to wear! My hand was way up high a year ago. Since I was off from work because of the pandemic, I came up with the idea to revamp my entire closet and find solutions. Today I have a closet full of clothes and lots to wear. Here's what I did.
I went through my entire closet and I started making a pile of all the black bottoms, tops, dresses, and shoes. I then did the same with whites and all the neutrals. Once that's was done I piled all of the bright colors together along with any non-neutral shoes.
Once that was done, I tried every piece (even those with the tags on that I forgot about) to ensure they still fit nicely.
Next, I started creating outfits according to my lifestyle. I currently mostly wear casuals due to the pandemic, so I started putting together casual outfits, then I did formal, chic, etc. The easiest way was to do a lot of monochromatic looks as you can never go wrong with those and then I went to Pinterest and searched outfits that would be trending with each colored piece and matched those together.
4. I then organized my closet by outfit instead of pieces or colors. Today my life is so much easier and once I walk into my closet it's a breeze to find something to wear.
5. Last but certainly not least, all the pieces that just didn't fit right or have been sitting there for over a year I donated to charity.
I hope you are continuing to enjoy my blogs. If you have any ideas or if there's something you would like me to blog about I would be very happy to hear from you.
