Things To Keep In Mind Before & While Shopping

My daughter and I are always super excited to go shopping together especially when I fly to LA to meet her. Here's a pic of us while shopping at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Who looks happier? LOL!

I used to be the type of shopper that goes to the mall and then I hit every store and just shop according to what seems popular without giving it any more thought. My daughter, on the other hand, always has a plan and a list. She does her research ahead of time. Well, guess who always has to return several items and who gets to happily wear theirs? If you guess me for returns and my daughter for the latter you guessed right.

Below I've listed 4 things my daughter considers before and while shopping online or in-store:

1. She always checks if the item goes with the majority of the pieces already in her closet. This way she gets more wear out of it.

2. She always asks me "Mom does this look like me? Does it match my personal style and personality?" If it's a no, let it go!

3. She checks for comfort. Unlike me, I grab and go lol. I see her checking the type of material to ensure it's going to be soft, comfortable, and most importantly breathable.

4. last but not least... She got this one from her Mama. Head for the sale racks first!
